SHARED STRENGTH COLLECTIVE

During these uncertain times, Accountability Lab Nepal is offering a safe and welcoming space at the Open Gov Hub in Kathmandu for CSOs and NGOs to work, connect, and navigate current challenges jointly. Whether you need a peaceful environment to regroup and recharge or seek support from like-minded colleagues, our doors are open! We’re based at 47 – Neel Saraswoti Marga, Gairidhara-2, Kathmandu.
Civil society has been a reliable pillar of democracy and human rights in Nepal, and has played a key role in amplifying voices, holding the government accountable, and advocating for a just society. We are continuing to create a space for these activities during the United States’ Stop-Work Orders in an effort to building solidarity and proactive solutions.

GLOBAL IMPACT
Accountability Lab is monitoring the global impact of the United States Government’s Stop-Work Orders via a survey. We’re collating our results at www.globalaidfreeze.com. Our goals are to: (1) Track the impact of the USG stop-work order; (2) Better communicate the hyper-local impacts of the freeze through anecdotes, stories and infographics; and (3) Build community, solidarity and support, especially with affected global south communities.
The survey includes insights into the extent to which life-saving services and livelihoods will be negatively impacted by the stop-work order. It also gathers evidence about the potential harms it introduces for global economic and security interests.
